Isaías 59

Isaías 59:2

Scripture is accustomed to call hatred "toil." For the word has more than one meaning. Hatred wastes and withers up the hearts of those who receive it. Thus says the psalmist about someone or about Israel as a whole, "He conceived toil and bore iniquity." — COMMENTARY ON ISAIAH 5:4.59:4-5
